NOTICE

Regarding the Grievance Redress Mechanism
under the Power System Development Project (PSDP)

In accordance with the provisions of the World Bank’s Environmental and Social Standards and the national legislation, the Consolidated Unit for the Implementation of Energy Projects (UCIPE) makes available to the public the Grievance Redress Mechanism (GRM), intended to promptly identify, review, and resolve public complaints regarding the works and activities carried out under the Power System Development Project (PSDP).

Through this mechanism, individuals, organizations, and local groups who believe they may be affected by the planned activities under the Project (including design and construction works, expropriation activities, etc.) may submit complaints to express concerns or report situations that could affect their interests. They may also ask questions or make suggestions regarding the implementation of the Project.

Complaint submission forms are available at the UCIPE office. The form may also be downloaded

Completed forms can be submitted directly or sent to UCIPE at:

Address:
Chișinău Municipality, Alecu Russo Street 1, Block 1A, Floor 16, Office 163
Email: mepiu@mepiu.md

The public may also file complaints or ask questions via telephone:

Phone: 022-49-67-94, 068797478

UCIPE ensures the confidentiality of complaint handling. Additionally, the complainant may choose to submit a complaint anonymously.

At the same time, the World Bank, as the financier of the PSDP, provides its own grievance redress mechanism for individuals and communities who believe that a project has caused or may cause them harm. This is managed through the World Bank’s Grievance Redress Service (GRS).

This service helps ensure timely responses from World Bank task team leaders (TTLs) in addressing submitted complaints in a fast and effective manner.

Complaints to the World Bank’s GRS may be submitted directly by affected persons using one of the following channels:
