Modernization of Generation at CET Sursa-1
The Consolidated Unit for the Implementation and Monitoring of Energy Projects (UCIPE) has submitted a request to the World Bank, the financier of the District Heating Efficiency Improvement Project in Chișinău (PIESACET 2), for the termination of the contract for the modernization of generation at CET Sursa-1.
The request is based on a proposal from the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development, justified by reputational risks for the Republic of Moldova, as well as risks affecting the successful and timely execution of the modernization works stipulated in the contract.
Accordingly, upon receiving the World Bank's position, UCIPE will undertake all necessary procedural measures to terminate the contract concluded with the consortium of companies “LLC Horus – JSC Power Machines.”
UCIPE will inform the public about the actions and measures subsequently taken in the implementation of the mentioned Project.
