The World Bank Supervision Mission for the Implementation of the Energy System Development Project (PDSE)

The implementation team of the Energy System Development Project (PDSE) from the Consolidated Unit for Implementation and Monitoring of Energy Projects (UCIPE) participated today, May 2, in the launch meeting of the World Bank supervision mission for the mid-term evaluation of PDSE.

During the discussions, the parties addressed topics such as:

  • Assessment of the current project status and next steps,
  • Procurement plan,
  • Financial management,
  • Environmental and social aspects,
  • The resettlement action plan in the context of the construction of the overhead power line (LEA), and others.

The supervision mission will take place from May 2 to May 4 and will continue with working sessions at the World Bank office, as well as field visits.

The Energy System Development Project of the Republic of Moldova is funded by the World Bank and aims at the construction of a high-voltage overhead power line on the Vulcănești-Chișinău route, modernization/expansion of two electrical substations, as well as strengthening the dispatching and electricity metering system.

The project beneficiary is ÎS Moldelectrica.
