The implementation team of the Second Project for Improving the Efficiency of the Centralized Thermal Energy Supply System in Chișinău (PIESACET-2), composed of representatives from the World Bank, the Consolidated Unit for Implementation and Monitoring of Energy Projects (UCIPE), and Termoelectrica S.A., convened on Wednesday, April 26, for a working meeting.
The main discussion topics included the Project’s Procurement Plan and its update in the context of the PIESACET-2 restructuring, the implementation status of procurement packages, setting implementation priorities, and the next steps in the restructuring process of PIESACET-2.
In this context, the parties emphasized the importance of the project for the development of the enterprise, the efficiency and energy security of the country, and the provision of high-quality, efficient, and sustainable energy services for the residents of Chișinău.
The working meeting was held as part of the World Bank’s supervision mission for the implementation of PIESACET-2.
It should be noted that PIESACET-2 aims to increase the efficiency of the centralized thermal energy supply system in Chișinău. The project is financed by the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD – World Bank Group).
