Today, February 18, 2019, construction works for the Ungheni–Chișinău pipeline have commenced.
The project involves building a gas transmission pipeline 120 km in length, three natural gas delivery stations, and equipping the control center in Ghidighici.
The works will be carried out by the company Vestmoldtransgaz, within a maximum period of 23 months.
The construction of the Ungheni-Chișinău gas pipeline is a continuation of the Iași-Ungheni pipeline.
The goal of the project is to ensure the energy security of the Republic of Moldova by diversifying natural gas supply sources.
