An informational meeting and introduction of the new World Bank team leader for the implementation of the Second Project for Improving the Efficiency of the Centralized Heat Supply System in Chișinău (PIESACET-2) took place on Tuesday, July 12, online.
The meeting was attended by the project team from the Consolidated Unit for Implementation and Monitoring of Energy Projects (UCIPE), representatives of Termoelectrica S.A., and representatives of the World Bank team responsible for implementing PIESACET-2.
The session began with introductions of the teams and participants, followed by discussions on specific aspects of project implementation, the current status of investment and consultancy packages, priorities for the upcoming period, potential challenges, perspectives, as well as social and environmental issues.
Each party expressed openness to strengthen cooperation to ensure the successful implementation of the Project, reiterating the importance of achieving PIESACET-2 objectives to enhance the efficiency of the centralized heat supply system in Chișinău and to support the energy security of the Republic of Moldova.
