Electric Power System Development Project of the Republic of Moldova
On March 28 of this year, the contract for consultancy services was launched regarding the preparation of preliminary designs and tender documents for the construction of the high-voltage overhead line Vulcănești – Chișinău and the modernization of the electrical substations in Vulcănești and Chișinău.
The launch meeting was attended by representatives of UCIPE, representatives of Moldelectrica, and experts from the selected consulting firm for these tasks, intec – GOPA International Energy Consultants. The expected completion date for the tasks outlined in this contract is October 30, 2019.
It is worth noting that the aforementioned activities are financed by the Capacity Development Trust Fund for the Europe and Central Asia region and are part of the preparatory activities for the Electric Power System Development Project of the Republic of Moldova.
The project’s goal is to increase capacity and improve the reliability of the electricity transmission system in Moldova.
