The implementation team of the second Project for Improving the Efficiency of the Centralized Thermal Energy Supply System in Chișinău (PIESACET-2), within the Consolidated Unit for Implementation and Monitoring of Energy Projects (UCIPE), together with Director Ruslan Surugiu, held a working meeting at Termoelectrica S.A.
The main discussion topics focused on the implementation status of procurement packages, setting priorities for implementation, and the next steps in the restructuring process of PIESACET-2, with emphasis on measures aimed at the consumer side — specifically the execution of the package concerning the installation of individual thermal points, which has a significant impact on improving the quality of district heating services for consumers.
In this context, UCIPE Director Ruslan Surugiu highlighted the importance of the project for the development of the centralized heating sector, the country’s energy security, and ensuring that residents of Chișinău benefit from high-quality, efficient, and sustainable energy services.
During the meeting, the parties reaffirmed their joint commitment to the successful implementation of the PIESACET-2 project. In particular, they agreed to strengthen the joint efforts of both institutions to accelerate the implementation of projects with direct impact for both Termoelectrica and consumers.
